Sammie Baratta
Sammie is responsible for LifeSpan’s environmental research and compliance function, as well as implementing recycling programs for states and municipalities. She has been involved with environmental issues for 10 years and has chaired committees on Green Waste and Material Reuse Programs for several local governments. Sammie formerly served as Recycling Project Coordinator for City of Grand Junction, Colorado. In that capacity, she created and implemented the city’s first curbside electronics recycling program. Sammie was also CEO and founder of Rede Environmental - an electronics recycler and provider of environmental consulting services to school districts, government agencies, and national recycling companies.
Sammie holds a BS in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Technology from Humboldt State University. She enjoys photography, hiking, and reading science fiction.
